Terms of Service
These terms apply to the DefyRot website (defyrot.com), the DefyRot Chrome extension and the related services (together, "DefyRot"). By creating an account or using DefyRot, you agree to them.

Your account
You need to give a valid email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@defyrot.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
Your content
The pages you save belong to you or to their original authors. DefyRot stores copies for your personal reference; you are responsible for making sure your use of saved content respects copyright and the terms of the sites you save from. Do not use DefyRot to store or distribute unlawful material.
Sync passphrase
Cloud backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you know. We cannot see it and cannot recover it. If you lose your passphrase and your recovery kit, your encrypted backups cannot be restored.
Plans and payment
DefyRot has a Free plan and paid plans (Pro and Lifetime) with the limits and prices shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Paid plans are processed by our payment provider. A Pro subscription renews until you cancel it; if a paid plan ends, your saved pages stay readable and exportable, and the Free plan's limits apply again.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to DefyRot, and do not use it to harm others. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and changes
We work to keep DefyRot available and your data safe, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Keep exports of anything you cannot afford to lose. We may change or discontinue features; if we shut down a paid service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, DefyRot is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can stop using DefyRot at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@defyrot.com. See the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know by email or in the product.
